Light Work Innovations (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the Sari Sari Store System mobile application and services. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when using our application.

1. Information We Collect

The application may collect and store the following information:

• Inventory, product, and product-assembly/bundling records
• Sales transactions and transaction line items
• Business owner, manager, and cashier (staff) accounts
• Staff profile details, such as full name, profile photo, home address (province, city, barangay), contact number, and gender
• Point of Sale (POS) data
• Customer accounts and profiles, including name, phone number, email address, home address, and, where a customer self-service storefront login is created, a username and password
• Customer loyalty information, including membership tier, loyalty points, and reward redemption history
• Accounts receivable, customer loans/credit balances, and payment history
• Purchase and supplier records
• Branch/store information, including business name, address, contact number, and government tax-registration details (see Section 3)
• Supplier details
• Product categories
• Barcode data
• Cash flow entries and digital wallet balances/transfers used for business bookkeeping
• Subscription, license, and purchase/payment history

2. Camera and Images

The app may access the device camera and image storage to:

• Capture product images
• Capture branch/store cover photos
• Capture staff profile photos
• Identify and improve item management
• Scan barcodes for products
• Upload and save product photos

Images collected through the app are used only for business, staff-account, and inventory-related purposes.

3. Business and Tax Compliance Information

Where enabled by the account owner, the app stores business registration and tax-related details for each branch in order to generate compliant receipts and reports, including:

• Business/trade name and Tax Identification Number (TIN)
• Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) accreditation details, such as serial number, machine identification number, permit number, and accreditation/acknowledgement certificate numbers
• VAT-registration status and receipt footer text

This information is used solely to configure the point-of-sale system for tax-compliant receipt generation and reporting, and is not used for any other purpose.

4. Google Drive and Backup Services

The app may request access to Google Drive or local device storage for:

• Backing up business records
• Restoring saved data
• Exporting reports and transaction records
• Data synchronization

Read and write permissions may be used strictly for backup and restore functionality.

5. User Roles and Access Control

The system includes multiple staff account roles such as:

• Administrator
• Manager
• Cashier

Manager and Cashier accounts may have limited functionality and restricted access based on permissions set by the administrator.

6. Customer Accounts and Public Branch Storefronts

Some branches may enable a public, unauthenticated storefront page (accessible via a branch-specific link) that displays basic branch and product information to visitors. Where a branch offers customer self-service accounts, customers may register an account with a username, password, and contact details in order to view their own purchase history, receivable/credit balances, and loyalty points and tier. Customer account data is only accessible to that customer and to authorized staff of the branch the customer is registered with.

7. How We Use Information

Information collected by the app may be used to:

• Manage inventories, products, and product assembly/bundling
• Monitor and analyze sales
• Process POS transactions
• Track customer loans, accounts receivable, and payment history
• Administer the loyalty/rewards program, including points balances and reward redemptions
• Manage staff accounts, roles, and permissions
• Generate BIR-compliant receipts and tax reports
• Track business cash flow and digital wallet balances
• Generate reports and analytics
• Improve store management operations
• Provide backup and restore services
• Improve application performance and features

8. Subscription and Purchases

The app may offer paid features including:

• Monthly subscriptions
• Yearly subscriptions
• Lifetime access purchases

We keep a record of license activations and subscription payment history (license type and amount paid) in order to manage and verify your subscription status. Payments and purchase processing may be handled by third-party services such as Google Play.

9. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Passwords are stored in encrypted/hashed form, and staff and customer sessions are authenticated using secure access tokens.

However, no electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal or business data to third parties.

Information may only be shared:

• When required by law, including for BIR tax-compliance reporting
• To protect legal rights
• With authorized backup or cloud services selected by the user

11. Data Retention

Data will be retained as long as necessary to provide services and maintain business, financial, and tax-related records, unless deletion is requested by the user or required by law.

12. Children's Privacy

This application is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the application or official channels.
